Welcome to the Office of Emergency Management, or OEM, which is responsible for disaster planning for the City of Euless. This is accomplished by conducting a program of comprehensive emergency management principles including:
An important part of this process is conducting an ongoing survey of actual or potential hazards which threaten life and property within the City of Euless. Once these hazards are identified, planning takes place to reduce the impact of such hazards if a disaster did occur. All of this information contributes to the development of an emergency management plan, which addresses these issues, and serves as a guide for the city to respond to disasters. Another benefit of this information is it allows us to present pertinent information regarding disaster preparedness to the public.
The Euless Office of Emergency Management is also intricately involved in the Euless Citizen Corp Council which is the umbrella body for citizen volunteer programs for the city. The City of Euless is very appreciative of its citizen volunteers who participate in programs in which the goal is to be available for support and assistance when the need arises. The programs include Euless Citizen Police Academy (CPA), Citizens On Patrol (COP), Euless Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), and Amateur Radio Euless (ARE).
Please take a moment to browse our site to find information that will help you and your family become better prepared against disasters. We hope this information is beneficial and helps the community become a safer place to live.
